About Me.
How Did I Get Here
Hi there. I’m Lynn and welcome to Renou™ Health & Wellness Coaching. I’m so glad you are here.
I thought it important to share a bit about how I came to founding Renou Health & Wellness Coaching.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in how the body works, especially as it relates to nutrition and health. And since college, exercise has been a consistent thread in the fabric of my life. Back in the day it was aerobics and running; now it’s yoga, gardening and walking our dogs.
Professionally, I spent many years in the culinary field as a classically trained chef - learning to cook fancy, schmancy stuff and also, simple, clean, flavorful and wholesome dishes.
Together these experiences led me to create a life with straight-forward, sustainable habits, allowing me to maintain my health over the years; and fuel an insatiable desire to help others out of the struggle, so they can achieve the same.
Renou™ Health & Wellness Coaching allows me to share, motivate and inspire. If you need to understand the “why”, or “how” to stay motivated, we’ll explore where your interests take you. Should exercise be your primary struggle, we’ll find what works for you. And if you’re bored with what you’re eating or clueless in the kitchen, we’ll journey down a path of discovery and skill building.
Renou™ (as opposed to “renew”) resonated with me because I believe the process of adopting a healthier lifestyle involves learning how to reset and renourish your body to healthier living.
Master Certified Health Coach
I received my Master Health Coach Certification from Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. I chose this program because it is rooted in science and it allows the client to choose the path. I’m also a certified Lifestyle Coach by the National Diabetes Prevention Program, a Center for Center for Disease Control (CDC) program. I’m trained to assist individuals with diabetes to better manage their disease in order to more fully participate in, and enjoy life.

My Approach
Renou Health & Wellness Coaching is founded on the acronym “L.E.A.N.”, which refers to the four pillars of health - not the idea of being skinny or thin. Here’s a high level overview of what L.E.A.N means:
L - Lifestyle - think sleep quality, presence of family/friends/support systems, laughter levels, TV/screen time
E - Exercise - we know exercise is good for the body, mind and spirit. What’s the best exercise for you? One that you’ll do!
A - Attitude - Is the glass half-full or -empty? Is your overall mindset - positive or negative? What’s your level of self-acceptance?
N - Nutrition - how are you fueling your body? Empty carbs vs. nutrient dense foods?
